This Website serves as an electronic portfolio to introduce myself to my academic community and legal field affiliates and provide a few references as to my abilities and academic interests throughout my professional career.
My name is Daniela C. Curiel. I am attending St. Thomas University Law School to earn a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Business Law. This degree will help me to pursue a career in business law and commercial litigation matters. In Spring 2020, I graduated from Florida International University (FIU) summa cum laude with two Bachelor's degrees, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a specialization in International Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a specialization in Writing and Rhetoric. I also earned a certificate in Pre-law and Professional Values, and FIU awarded me a Certified Student Leader Program Medal.
I began my professional legal experience at the age of 18, by shadowing attorneys until I found an employment opportunity at Brill and Rinaldi, The Law Firm. I continued my employment as a legal assistant until I gained the necessary experience to transfer into a corporate law paralegal position at The Law Offices of Levi Williams, P.A., where I continued to work for over a year. I am regularly involved in non-profit leadership work, including my active membership in the local planning committee for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, and other numerous involvements in fundraising for non-profit events. I speak fluent English and Spanish, and I am proficient in French, as I have studied the language abroad. My interests include researching economic and legal matters and remaining informed on current legal and business developments.
